Red School is tucked away on Old Tehsil-Talao Road in the heart of Jhajjar. It’s a busy area and you can always hear the sounds of the town from our classrooms. The school building has its own character, having been here for quite some time now. We don’t have those big glass windows you see in the city, just regular ones that let in the breeze. Most of us who work here have been around for years, so we know the local families well. The road outside can get a bit congested when parents are dropping off their kids in the morning. We have a small yard where the students gather for the morning assembly. It’s nothing fancy, just some brick and mortar where we do our daily work. There is always a lot to do, from fixing a leaky tap to making sure there’s enough chalk for the day. We spend a lot of time in the office handling the books and answering the phone. The furniture is a mix of old wooden benches and some plastic chairs we bought later. It feels like a second home to many of us because we spend so many hours here. During the summer, we make sure the overhead fans are working at full speed. It's a simple life at the school, focused on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are safe until their parents pick them up.
