Jaitpur Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is located at house 187 in the village of Jaitpur. It’s a quiet corner of Jhajjar, and most of us have been farming these fields since we were boys. We started this producer company because we realized that we could get a bit more done if we stopped trying to do everything separately. We don’t have a big fancy office with computers and secretaries. Most of our work is done on the porch or sitting under a tree during the heat of the day. We keep our ledgers in a simple way and try to make sure every farmer in Jaitpur knows what’s happening with their money. It’s a lot of responsibility, and some nights we stay up late just trying to make the numbers match up. The soil here in Jhajjar can be stubborn, and the water isn't always where you need it to be. We just do the best we can with what we’ve got. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or official. We are just villagers who know the value of a long day's work. Sometimes we get frustrated when things don't go as planned, but that’s just farming. We hope that by staying organized, we can keep Jaitpur’s farms going for a long time. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours, and we are proud to be part of this community, just working the land and looking out for one another.
