You can find us at Anup Singh’s place in Bhadanipana-Sahrawat, which is over in the Jhajjar area. Care By Anusan Foundation is a small setup, nothing too fancy at all. We basically operate out of a local residence because it’s easier and keeps us close to the people around here. Jhajjar is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, so we didn't see the point in getting a big, anonymous office somewhere else. We’ve got a couple of rooms where we keep our files and sit down to work. It’s a bit informal, maybe, but it works for us. Usually, someone is around to answer the door, though we might be busy with something in the back. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't wear uniforms or follow some strict corporate schedule. We just start our day and see what needs to be handled. Sometimes it’s a lot of writing and phone calls, other times it’s just sorting through stuff. Being C/O Anup Singh means people know exactly which house to go to. We’ve been part of this community for a long time, and the foundation is just another way we’re involved here. It’s not about being the biggest or the most famous; it’s just about having a spot in Sahrawat where we can get things done. It’s a very grounded, local way of doing things and we wouldn't have it any other way.
