Tondon Metal

Down here at Lahsui Camp in M.P., you’ll find Tondon Metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see many people in fancy clothes. We are right in the middle of the camp area, which is pretty much where you’d expect a metal business to be. There is always a bit of dust in the air and the sound of something being moved around. We deal with all sorts of metal stuff, and this is where we keep the records and run the daily operations. It’s a basic building, mostly just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off the papers. Most of our day is spent talking to people who need supplies or trying to figure out the logistics of getting things moved from one place to another. The roads around Lahsui Camp can get pretty rough, especially when it rains, but we manage. We’ve been here for a good while, and the local workers all know where to find us. It’s a practical operation through and through. We don’t have a website that we update or anything like that; we just do our work and talk to people face-to-face. Sometimes the heat in M.P. gets to be a lot in the afternoons, so we start early to beat the sun. It’s honest work, and we just try to keep the metal moving and the customers sorted out without any unnecessary drama.
