St Francis Higher Secondary School

The school sits right here in Pithampur. It is usually a bit dusty outside because of all the traffic on Sanjay Jalasia Road, but once the gates shut at eight, it gets a bit quieter inside. We have the usual classrooms and some wooden benches that have seen better days. You can hear the fans humming when it gets really hot in the afternoons. Most of the staff live nearby, so we see each other at the local market too. We have the standard curriculum for the higher secondary grades and the days go by pretty fast. It is a busy place with kids running around during the breaks. Sometimes the water cooler makes a loud noise, and we have to get it fixed again. The building is simple, nothing fancy, just brick and concrete with some green paint on the window frames. People around Ward 14 know where we are. We do not have a big fancy playground, but the kids make do with the open space we have. There is a small shop across the street where the older students sometimes try to buy a snack before heading home. It is just a regular school where we spend our days teaching and trying to keep the hallways from getting too messy. The sun hits the front of the building in the morning, making it quite bright. We do not really do much big talk here. It is just about getting the books open and making sure the lessons get finished before the final bell rings.
