Shiv Kripa Traders

Being on Bus Stand Road in Bhabhra means it is never quiet. Shiv Kripa Traders is right there near the Nagar Palika Parishad, so there is always some government work or a bus arriving. I spend a lot of time sitting at the front of the shop. You see all sorts of people coming through Bhabhra. Some are just passing through to the next town, others are locals I've known since I was a kid. Trading is mostly about talking to people and keeping track of what’s in the back. It gets quite loud with the horns and the shouting from the bus conductors. I don't mind it much anymore. It’s just the sound of the day. The shop isn't very large, and it's piled high with stuff. I have to move things around just to find a chair sometimes. We don't have a website or fancy ads. People just know we are here because of the location. If you walk past the council building, you'll see us. It’s a practical business. We buy things, we sell things, and we try to keep the books straight at the end of the month. My father used to say that as long as the buses are running, we will have work. He was right about that. It’s just a normal life in a normal town, and we don't need it to be anything more than it is right now. We just take it day by day.
