Iyarkai Amudhu

You can find us over at 12, Jawahar Marg. It’s a small shop, nothing too flashy. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the neighbors all know us. We spend most of our time at Iyarkai Amudhu just sorting through things and making sure everything is where it should be on the shelves. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside, especially when we get a delivery and the boxes are piled up by the door. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the customers and keep the place clean. The street outside can get quite noisy during the day with all the traffic on Jawahar Marg, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We try to keep things simple. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town, just a reliable one where people can get what they need without any fuss. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery is late, and we just have to explain that to the folks who walk in. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We do the cleaning, the stocking, and the selling ourselves. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we like the routine of it. If you’re coming by, look for the number 12 on the door; it’s easy to miss if you’re driving too fast.
