Sri Ram Pustak Bhandar

Our little shop is located in Village Pairgaha, right on the Jhajha Main Road. It is a quiet area most of the time, although the road gets a bit of traffic from people traveling through the Tehsil. Being in the Jamui district, we are quite a distance from the big city, which is just fine with us. We have shelves full of books and school supplies that reach all the way to the ceiling. It can get a bit dusty sometimes, but we try to keep things in order for the students who come in from the nearby villages. We’ve been here in this village for quite a while, so everyone knows where to find us. Usually, it’s just one or two of us sitting here waiting for customers. When school season starts, it gets very hectic and the shop feels even smaller than it is. We don't have any fancy computer systems; we just remember where the books are and keep track of things in a ledger. It’s a simple way of living and working. We like being part of the community in Pairgaha and seeing the kids grow up year after year. The shop is more than just a place of business to us; it’s where we spend most of our lives. We just open the doors every morning and see what the day brings on the Main Road.
