Velma Crafts

Our workshop is located at No. 102 in the Sailila Apartment building on Amarnagar Road. It is not a big storefront with neon signs or anything like that. Instead, it is a quiet spot where we spend most of our time working on different craft items. We have been here for a while now, and the neighbors in the apartment block are used to seeing us coming and going with supplies. We make a variety of things by hand, mostly using materials we find locally or get from regular suppliers we have known for years. The space is usually a bit messy with scraps of fabric, some wood pieces, and tools lying around on the tables. We don’t really have a sales team or a fancy display area. Most of the time, we are just busy cutting, gluing, or painting whatever project is on the schedule for the week. It gets a bit dusty in here sometimes, but we keep the windows open to let the air in from Amarnagar Road. Sometimes people walk in just to see what that tapping noise is, and we show them whatever we are working on at the moment. It is a small operation, just a few of us who like making things with our hands. We aren't trying to be a big factory. We just like the work and staying busy in our little corner of the building. It’s a peaceful way to earn a living.
