Satya Sai Equipments

We operate out of Subhash Nagar in the Ida area, mostly working with heavy metal parts and machinery. The plot is filled with various pieces of equipment that we are either building or fixing. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there is always the sound of grinding and welding going on nearby. We spend our mornings going over plans and then the rest of the day is spent with tools in our hands. Everything here is heavy, so we use a lot of chains and pulleys to move things around. There’s grease on almost every surface, including our clothes, which never really come clean in the wash. We make stuff that other businesses use to do their jobs, so it has to be sturdy. Sometimes a part doesn't fit quite right and we have to shave off a few millimeters to make it work. It’s not a clean environment, but it’s where we get things done. We have a few old workbenches that have seen better days, but they serve us well for what we do. Most of our time is spent just making sure the welds are solid and the motors are running like they should. It’s just us working with steel and iron every day to get these machines finished. Our hands are usually pretty calloused from handling the rough steel all day, but you get used to it after a few years. We keep a radio playing in the background to drown out some of the louder noises from the street.
