Abhishek Enterprise

We are located over in Bhagat Singh Nagar. It’s a quiet part of the Jalpaiguri district. Abhishek Enterprise has been a part of this neighborhood for quite some time now. We started out small and stayed that way, which suits us just fine. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or people from nearby villages who have been coming here for years. We do a bit of everything here. It’s not a high-stress environment, but we stay busy enough to keep things interesting. The weather in Jalpaiguri can be unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time making sure our stock stays dry during the monsoon months when the rain comes down hard. I usually open up the shop early in the morning. I like the quiet of the morning before everyone starts moving around. There’s a lot of tea grown around here, so that’s a big part of the local life and the economy. We handle supplies that people need for their daily lives and small projects. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. People just know where we are. If you walk down the main road in Bhagat Singh Nagar, you'll find us easily. We keep a handwritten ledger for everything. Sometimes the power goes out for hours, and we just use candles or a small torch to finish the day's work. It’s just me and a couple of local helpers. We know most of our customers by name.
