Khubsurat Manzil Foundation

Khubsurat Manzil Foundation is based at Pyarelal Gupta’s place over in Shekhpur, Jaunpur Maya. It’s a local spot that most people in the neighborhood can find easily enough. We didn't start this foundation to become famous or make a lot of money. We just saw some things in Shekhpur that needed a bit of attention and decided to do something about it. The office is really just a front room where we keep our books and meet with folks. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that mostly works. We don't have a professional team for writing or marketing. Everything you see from us is written by one of us in our spare time. It’s a very hands-on operation. We spend a lot of time walking around the local streets and talking to people we’ve known for years. Sometimes the work is frustrating because things don't move as fast as we want them to. We make plenty of mistakes, like forgetting to file a paper on time or missing a meeting because of local traffic. But we don't let that stop us. We’re just regular people from Jaunpur trying to make our little corner of the world a bit better. It’s not always easy, but it feels like the right thing to be doing with our time and energy, even when things get a little bit complicated or slow.
