Our setup is a bit different because we are based out of Chhote Lal Yadav’s place in Jogapur village. If you are coming through Jaunpur, you’ll find us in a quiet spot where there’s more green than concrete. We don't have a big sign with lights or a fancy lobby. It’s just a room where we’ve set up our desks and files to help out the local people with their savings. Living and working in a village like Jogapur means we are very connected to the seasons and the rhythm of the farm work. When the harvest is good, we are quite busy, and when things are slow, we spend more time just sitting and talking with whoever drops by. We handle the financial side of things for our neighbors so they don't have to make the long trip into the city center. It’s a very basic operation. We have our registers, some pens, and a lot of local knowledge. Sometimes the neighbors bring over some snacks or we sit under the big tree outside when the power goes out. We aren't trying to be a big institution. We just want to be a useful part of the village. It’s a simple life here in Jaunpur, and we like that our work helps families keep their money safe right where they live. We just keep the books straight and treat everyone like the neighbors they are. It is peaceful work for us.
