Abes Wings Foundation

You have to head out to Village Kopa to find us. It’s near the Patarahi post office in Jaunpur. The foundation is run from where Anil Kumar Ramkaran Yadav stays. It’s a rural area of Uttar Pradesh, so things move at a different pace than the city. We named it Abes Wings Foundation because we liked the idea of getting things off the ground. Most of our neighbors are farmers or have small shops nearby. We don’t have a shiny glass building, just a regular house where we gather. Sometimes the internet is spotty, so we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way with paper and pens. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but people find us anyway. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just trying to help out where we can in our own little corner of Jaunpur. Most of us have lived here our whole lives, so we know the families and the local problems pretty well. It feels more like a community group than a formal organization. We take things one day at a time. If someone needs something, they just walk up to the door and ask. That’s how we like to operate—no red tape or complicated forms to fill out. The cows walk past the front door, and it’s just a normal day of work for us.
