Amara Raja Batteries Limited

This place is located over in Chintamani Nagar, right in the Jatni area of Khurda. We’re working out of K.N. Panigrahi’s spot, so if you’re looking for Amara Raja Batteries Limited around here, that’s where you’ll find us. It’s a practical setup, mostly just rows of batteries and the smell of lead and plastic. Jatni isn’t the biggest place, but it stays busy enough with people coming through. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and checking the stock levels. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay a bit cooler. It’s not the kind of office where you’ll see anyone wearing a suit. Usually, it’s just us in work clothes, probably with a bit of grease on our hands from moving things around. The floor is concrete and we’ve got a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but don't do much else. We don’t really do much talking unless it’s about the work at hand. Someone comes in, needs a battery for their truck or car, and we find what they need in the back. It’s basic work, but it fills the day. Sometimes we have tea together near the entrance when things quiet down for a minute. That’s pretty much the whole story of this branch in Khurda. Nothing more to it really.
