Patodi Marble

You can find Patodi Marble over at the Anam Complex on the ground floor. We are situated right across from the Gayatri Mandir in the Purani Toli area. It is a pretty well-known spot because of the temple. In the mornings, we can hear the sounds from the mandir while we are getting the shop ready for the day. Being on the ground floor of the complex makes it easier for us to move our marble around, although it is still a lot of heavy work. We spend a good amount of time just organizing the slabs and making sure everything looks okay. It is a dusty trade and there is no avoiding it. People come in mostly because they live nearby or are visiting the temple and noticed our shop. We don't have any polished marketing or anything like that. We just talk to folks like normal people and show them the stone we have in the back. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the Purani Toli streets, especially during festival times, but we just manage. Our work is straightforward: we have marble, and people come to buy it. We just try to be helpful without making things complicated. It’s a small, local operation and we are just happy to be part of the neighborhood here at Anam Complex. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even when the shop gets busy with new stock deliveries.
