Jalaram Ginning Factory

You can find us over on Station Road in Jasdan. It’s a busy enough spot, especially when the season is right and the cotton starts coming in. We’ve been operating the ginning factory here for a long time, and the building is basically what you’d expect from an old industrial site. There is plenty of dust in the air most days, and the sound of the ginning machines is something you just get used to after a while. We aren't big on fancy decorations or anything. It’s a working factory, plain and simple. We spend our time checking the bales and making sure the machinery doesn't break down when we need it most. The road outside can get a bit congested with carts and trucks, but that is just part of being near the station area. Some days are longer than others, especially when there’s a lot of material to process. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. We usually just sit outside for a bit when the sun goes down to catch a breeze. It’s hot work, and we don’t have much in the way of climate control, but the roof keeps the rain off the cotton, and that’s what matters. We just keep our heads down and get the ginning done as it comes. It’s the kind of place where you know everyone’s name and you don't need a map to find anything.
