You can find Vineet Sales over in New Dhan Mandi. If you’ve ever been to a mandi, you know exactly what it’s like. It’s loud, there are trucks everywhere, and the air is always full of the smell of grain and dust. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long while now. Our day starts much earlier than most people’s. We are usually there before the sun is fully up to see what’s coming in and what needs to go out. We deal with a lot of different traders and farmers coming through. It’s a lot of talking and negotiating over the price of things. Some days the market is up, and everyone is in a good mood. Other days, it’s a real struggle to get anything done. We don't have a polished office with air conditioning or anything. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of registers lying around. We keep track of everything by hand mostly. It’s the way we’ve always done it here. My family has been involved in sales for a long time, so it’s just what I know. We don’t use any fancy software or big marketing schemes. We just stand by our word and make sure the goods are what we say they are. Sometimes we stay late to finish the books, especially during the peak season when the harvest comes in. It’s a tiring job, but it’s what keeps the town moving. We just take it one day at a time.
