Murari Brothers Paddy Processing

We run this paddy processing unit out on Mal Kharoda Road in Sakti. It’s part of the Janjgir Champa district, which is a big area for rice. The business is basically just us and a few helpers working the machines. It’s not a high-tech operation; we rely on equipment that has been around for a while, and we fix things ourselves when they break down. The yard gets really muddy when it rains, so we’re always cleaning up. We spend our days watching the paddy come in from the local fields. It’s a lot of manual labor, hauling sacks and checking the quality of the husks. We don't have a website or any big marketing plans; we just talk to the people who live nearby. Most of our day is spent in the heat of the shed, making sure the processing goes smoothly. It’s a family-run kind of vibe where everyone knows what their job is without being told too much. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. The location is a bit out of the way, but folks know the road well enough. It’s a quiet life mostly, punctuated by the roar of the engines. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the business running for the next generation. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
