My father and grandfather started this place a long time ago. We’re located right near the Santoshi Mandir here in Champa. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our door. It’s a busy spot, especially on festival days when the bells are ringing and people are everywhere. Most of our days are spent just keeping things moving. We handle a lot of different things for the folks around here. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it tidy. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a counter, some old chairs, and piles of stock that we move through every week. We know most people who walk in by their first names. Champa is a small enough place for that. My brother handles the books and I mostly talk to the people coming in. We don't really have a website or anything like that, mostly just word of mouth keeps us going. The rain can be a bit of a problem in the monsoon because the street floods a little, but we just put out some boards and keep working. It’s just how things are done here. We’ve been at this address for decades and don't plan on going anywhere. It’s a quiet life mostly, just the sound of the temple and the bikes going past. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down.
