Baharampur Mini Rice Mill

Our mill is located in Narugram, right near Shyamsundar College. It’s called Baharampur Mini Rice Mill. It isn’t the biggest mill in the Raina area, but it’s ours. We spend our days dealing with the local harvest. The sound of the husking machines is something you get used to after a week or so. Being so close to the college, we see a lot of students walking by every day. Villpost Narugram is a nice enough place to be. We’ve got the P.S. Raina nearby too. The work is dusty and loud, but it’s what we know. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things about us. It’s just a rice mill. We take the paddy, we process it, and we move it out. My grandfather started this kind of work, though not in this exact building. Baharampur Mini Rice Mill is a small operation. We have a couple of guys from the village who help out during the busy season. We don’t use a lot of big words here. If the machine breaks, we fix it. If the rain comes, we cover the bags quickly. It’s a simple cycle that we follow. We’re just glad to be working near Shyamsundar College in Narugram. It’s a busy little corner of the world, and we fit right in. There isn't much more to it than that. We just do the work and go home. That's how it is.
