Sri Vinayaka Dairy Farm

The day starts really early for us at Sri Vinayaka Dairy Farm. We are located in Kundaram, over in the Lingala Ghanpur area. Usually, the sun isn't even up when we begin the chores. There are cows to feed and the stalls to clean out before the first milking starts. It is a lot of physical labor, and your hands get tired by the end of it, but it is just what we do. We have a few animals that we look after every single day, no matter if it is raining or really hot outside. The milk goes out to the local folks around Jangaon. People know where we are at house number 6-2-2/36. It’s not one of those massive industrial places you see on the news. It is just a regular farm with real animals that need a lot of constant attention. We spend a lot of time making sure they have enough green fodder and clean water. Dealing with livestock means you don't really get any holidays or weekends off. If a cow is sick, you stay up with it through the night. That is just how life is on a dairy farm. We don't have any flashy signs or a big team for marketing. We just focus on the animals and getting the milk ready for the morning delivery. It is quiet work mostly, just the sound of the cattle and the cans clinking together.
