About Sanga Rice Cultivation – Food & Beverages in Janagam
Sanga Rice Cultivation is based at 103 in Kadapagandi Thanda, over in the Jangam area. This isn't an office in the city; it is about being out in the fields and working with the land. We spend most of our time dealing with the rice crops, from the planting stage to the final harvest. The weather is the main thing we talk about, whether it is raining enough or if the sun is too harsh. Kadapagandi Thanda is a small place, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We do not have any corporate slogans or fancy brochures. Our work is visible in the paddies every day. It involves a lot of muddy boots and long hours under the sun. We manage the water levels and make sure the pests don't ruin the season's hard work. Jangam is a good place for this kind of agriculture, and we have been farming here for generations. Sometimes the crop is great, and sometimes the season is a struggle, but we just keep going. We do not use much heavy machinery; a lot of it is still done by hand or with basic tools. It is a slow process that you can't really rush. We just focus on the soil and the grain, making sure we have enough to sell after the harvest is finally brought in. It is just how life goes for us out here. If you come by the Thanda, you will see the fields stretching out for quite a bit.
