This is a small shop located at 6-68 in Aregudem, over in Jangam. It’s a quiet little spot, but we stay pretty busy with people coming in for all sorts of things. Most of the time it is students from the local school needing copies of their books or neighbors who need to get their ID cards scanned for some government work. The Xerox machine we have is a bit temperamental and sometimes it makes a strange clicking noise, but it gets the job done eventually. I usually have to give it a little tap to get it going again. The shop is small, so if more than three people come in at once, it feels very crowded. I have a wooden counter where I keep the loose change and a few pens for sale. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just have to sit on the bench outside and wait for it to come back on. It’s a good time to talk to whoever is passing by on the road. I’ve lived around here my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not a fancy business with bright lights, just a practical place for the village to get their papers sorted out. I keep a small radio playing in the background to pass the time when it’s slow. It’s just a regular daily routine that keeps everything moving and the bills paid. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person.
