Umerkot

Umerkot is located at Office No-84 in the District of Jamui. It is a plain office space, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it is where we spend most of our waking hours. Jamui is a place where everyone seems to know a bit about everyone else’s business, so we try to just stay focused on our own tasks. The office has a few windows that look out onto the street, and we often see the same people walking by at the same time every morning. We have got a couple of old desks that have been with us since we opened, and they have seen a lot of paperwork over the years. We do not really have a lot of visitors, but when someone does stop by, we usually have some tea ready for them. The atmosphere here is quiet for the most part, except for the sound of the ceiling fan and the occasional car horn from the main road. We do not use any big words or try to act like we are more important than we are. We just provide what people need and keep our records straight. Working in District Jamui has its ups and downs, especially with the weather, but we have gotten used to it. It is a practical setup for a practical group of people who just want to do a decent day’s work and then head home to our families.
