Our office is located in Munger, Bihar. It’s not a big city office with glass walls or fancy furniture. It’s a practical place where we keep our surveying equipment. We spend most of our time out in the fields or on construction sites, so the office is mostly for storing the levels and theodolites. Munger is an old place, and the roads can be rough. We travel a lot for the engineering works we take on. When we are in the office, we’re usually hunched over maps or checking the data we collected during the day. It’s dusty work and it can be exhausting under the sun. We don't have any fancy brochures to hand out. We just show people the work we’ve done before. The team is small, just a few local guys who know the land around here. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know all the shortcuts through the district. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the drawings. The fans hum in the background and we drink a lot of water to stay cool. It’s just how things go. We don't make a big deal out of it. We just provide what’s needed and move on to the next job. The river isn't too far from here either.
