Komal Ice Cream

It started out small here in Bihpur Jamalpur. We are right by the Shiv Mandir, so usually, when people finish their prayers, they walk over to see what we have in the freezer. Being in a village area like Narayanpur, things move a bit slower, and that’s how we like it. We mostly just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure there is enough for everyone who stops by. It gets really dusty on the roads around here, so a cold treat is what most people are looking for when they step inside. We don't have fancy chairs or anything, just a simple counter and some stock. My brother and I take turns sitting here throughout the day. Some days are busier than others, especially when there is a festival at the temple. You can hear the bells from where we sit. We grew up in this area, so we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It isn't a big operation, just a local spot where you can get something cold without much fuss. We try to keep the flavors simple because that’s what people around here actually like. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to scramble with the generator, but that’s just how it is living in this part of the tehsil. We keep things clean and just do our work every day for the community.
