Chandra Store

Chandra Store is right here in Sadar Bazar, specifically on Marwari Patti Road in Munger. If you've ever been down this way, you know how crowded and loud it gets, especially being so close to the Jamalpur Railway Station. You can hear the trains pulling in and out all day long. We are on the ground floor of Shyam Kunj, and it’s a pretty basic setup. We’ve got shelves stacked with all sorts of things, and sometimes it's hard to find a place to stand when a shipment comes in. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know most of the people walking past the shop. It’s a lot of work keeping things organized, and to be honest, it’s rarely as tidy as we want it to be. The dust from the road is a constant battle. People stop in for what they need, maybe stay for a quick chat about the weather or the train schedules, and then head out. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical store where we spend our mornings and evenings. Munger is a busy place and Sadar Bazar is the heart of it. We just try to keep enough stock so people don’t go away empty-handed. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. We just open up early and stay until the last customer leaves. It's a lot of long hours, but we are used to it by now.
