Aliya Mallick Foundation

The Aliya Mallick Foundation is located over in Azad Nagar, Jamui. We are right near the New Madarsa, which is the easiest way to find us. Tabassum Pravin is the person in charge here. Jamui is a bit of a trek from the bigger cities, but we like it here. It is a tight community in Azad Nagar. Our office is modest, just a room where we can sit and talk. We get a lot of local residents coming by because we are so close to the Madarsa. It is a familiar landmark for everyone. We focus on helping out the people in the neighborhood. Whether it is something small or a bigger problem, we try to listen. Tabassum is usually there to greet anyone who walks in. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment or a polished look. It is just us. Sometimes the street outside is very noisy with kids and rickshaws, but that is just life in Jamui. We have been here for a bit and the people around here know us now. We do not do this for the fame or anything. It is just about being a good neighbor. We take things one day at a time and see what needs fixing. It is a quiet kind of work, nothing too flashy. We just keep our doors open and wait to see who needs help next.
