Giridih Jamua Jh Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Mahtoat Dharampur in Jamua. Sudhir Pd Verma is the one who looks after the main office at his place. We are a small group of farmers from this part of Giridih. We do not have a big staff or a fancy building. It is mostly just a few of us who wanted to see if we could get better results by working as a team. Farming here is never easy, especially when the rains are late or the soil is dry. We spend a lot of time just talking to each other about what works and what does not. We do not use fancy talk or have big business plans. We just take it one day at a time. The village is quiet, and everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We are not trying to grow into a massive corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in Jamua have a fair chance at making a living. It is a lot of physical work and sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. Being in Jharkhand means we are used to a certain way of life. We value the land and the people we work with every day. It is a very local thing, run by people who actually live here and understand the struggles of the farm. We just do the work that is in front of us.
