Vig English School

Our school sits in the Telco area, specifically in Chotta Govindpur here in Jamshedpur. If you know this part of the city, you know it's a bit of a trek from the main center, but it's a quiet enough spot for a school. The building is tucked away and we’ve been operating out of this location for a good number of years. It’s a plain brick and concrete structure, nothing too flashy on the outside. Every morning the kids walk through the gates, some coming from just down the street and others taking the local transport. We have a set of classrooms that stay fairly cool even when the sun is hitting the roof hard in May. The furniture is solid wood, some of it might be a bit old, but it does the job. Teachers here aren't corporate types; they are local people who have been teaching for a long time and know how to handle a room full of energetic children. There is a small area where students play during their break, and you can hear the shouting from a block away. We keep the place clean, or as clean as you can with hundreds of feet moving through every day. The office is small and usually has a few parents waiting to talk about fees or uniforms. It's just a normal school day for us, from the first bell to the last.
