Our office for Usha Martin Pvt Ltd is located in the Kadma area of Jamshedpur. Specifically, we are at Ranikudar Slope, which is a bit of a landmark if you live around here. Working on a slope means the walk up can be a bit tiring if you’re doing it multiple times a day, especially when the Jharkhand sun is beating down on everything. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The building is older, with those thick walls that stay a bit cooler in the summer, though we still need the fans going full blast. It’s a busy neighborhood with kids playing outside and people heading to the Kadma market nearby. We don’t have any big marketing team or a fancy reception desk here. It is mostly just us sitting at our desks, handling whatever comes in for the day. Sometimes the mail gets delayed or the phone line crackles, but we just deal with it and move on. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know the tea stall guy down the road and the people in the next quarter over. There is something nice about working in a place that feels like a real community instead of an industrial park. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing, day after day, in our own way.
