You can find us over in Chhota Govindpur, which is a fairly quiet part of Jamshedpur compared to the main city center. Our office is actually inside a residential quarter, Qr.105/2/2 to be exact. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because these quarters weren't really built for offices, but we make it work. Usha Martin Ltd. has a lot of history in this city, and being tucked away in a neighborhood like this feels more personal. You see the same people walking their dogs or going to the local market every morning while we are setting up for the day. It’s not a corporate skyscraper with a lobby or security guards. Usually, you just walk up and knock. Inside, we have our desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to worry about that right now. We are mostly focused on getting the daily tasks finished so we can get home. Jamshedpur is a steel town through and through, and you can feel that grit even here in Govindpur. It gets humid, and the monsoons really soak everything, making the walk to the quarter a bit muddy. But we like it here because it is simple and away from the heaviest traffic. It's just a regular place where regular people do their work, making sure the business keeps running without much fuss.
