Universal Systems

Universal Systems operates out of Ub-131 in the basement of Akashdeep Plaza. Being in Golmuri means it is always a bit crowded outside, but once you head down to the basement, it gets a lot quieter. We have been in this spot for a long time. The shop is full of old monitors, towers, and piles of spare parts that we might need someday. It is a bit of a maze inside, but it works for us. We spend our days mostly looking at screens or taking things apart to see why they stopped working. The basement air can be a bit stuffy, so we keep a few fans running all the time. Most of our customers are people from around Golmuri who have known us for years. They know we are not fancy and that we just get on with the work. We do not have a big sign outside, so you have to know where you are going to find the stairs. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish, and the whole plaza gets very still. It is just a small operation with a few of us trying to keep things running. We do not use any complicated systems to track our work; mostly we just write things down in a big ledger on the front counter. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far and we don't see any reason to change it.
