Tinplate Hospital

Tinplate Hospital has been a fixture in Golmuri for a long time. Most people around here call it by that name because of the history with the tinplate factory nearby. It’s a large, older building that has a lot of character, even if it looks a bit dated compared to the newer clinics popping up. The hallways are long and have that high ceiling that keeps things relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a lot of staff who have worked here for twenty or thirty years, so they know every corner of the place. The grounds around the hospital are decent, with some trees that provide a bit of shade for people waiting outside. It’s not a polished, modern facility with glass walls. It’s more of a community landmark. We see a lot of the retired workers from the industry and their families. The pace here can be slow one minute and then very fast the next, depending on what’s happening in the emergency area. We don’t spend much time thinking about branding or marketing. We’re more worried about making sure the equipment is working and that there are enough clean sheets for the beds. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. People come here because it’s familiar and it’s right here in the heart of Golmuri. It’s just how things have always been for us here, through all the changes in the town.
