Our spot is right on Nabin Sarkar Lane in Baghbazar. If you know Calcutta, you know this part of town has a lot of history and very tight streets. We are at 7A/1. It’s a busy neighborhood and things can get quite loud outside our door most days. We’ve been involved with construction equipment for a long time here in West Bengal. It’s not a shiny corporate office at all. It’s just the place where we work. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and people who need parts or machines. The humidity in Calcutta can be tough on some of the older paperwork we keep, but we try to keep everything filed away properly. Sometimes the traffic on the lane makes it hard for deliveries to reach us, but we always figure it out somehow. It’s a local operation. You’ll usually find a couple of us sitting around the desks, drinking tea and looking over equipment specs. People stop by quite a bit just to check on orders or ask questions about what we have available. We don’t really go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just try to get the work done and go home at the end of the day. The building is older, like most things in this area, which gives it some character. We’ve grown used to the sounds of the street and the rhythm of the city. It’s a practical place for a practical business.
