Stabilisation All Caster Mechanica, which is really right in the heart of the technical operations for Tata Steel. It’s noisy and there is always something moving. If you aren’t used to the sound of heavy machinery and the constant hum of the casters, it might be a bit overwhelming at first. But for us, it’s just the sound of the workday. We spend a lot of time on our feet here. It’s not about sitting at a desk and typing; it’s about making sure the mechanical parts are doing what they are supposed to do. There’s grease, there’s heat, and there’s a lot of metal everywhere you look. We wear our gear and just get on with it. The focus is on the stabilization process, which sounds complicated but it’s really just about keeping things steady so the steel comes out right. We don't have time for a lot of talk or long meetings. Usually, we’re shouting over the noise just to get a message across. It’s a rough and tumble environment, but it feels honest. You can see the results of your work right in front of you. When something breaks, we fix it. When the shift is over, we’re usually pretty tired, but that’s just part of the deal when you work in a place like this.
