Tata Steel Ltd. (India)

Our spot is at 17 Fish Line, right off P.B. Road in Jugsalai. If you know Jamshedpur, you know Jugsalai is a place that is always moving. It is busy and loud, and there is always some kind of activity going on right outside our door. We use the P.O. box at Jugsalai for most of our mail because it is easier that way. The office itself is quite simple. It is just a room where we keep the records for Tata Steel Ltd. (India). Being on Fish Line means we are right in the middle of the local trade and morning rush. It is not the kind of place with a lobby or security guards at the entrance. You just walk in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days, and the furniture is a bit mismatched, but it works fine for what we need to do. We spend most of our time on the phone or going through inventory sheets. It gets a bit dusty because of the heavy traffic on the road, so we are always wiping down the desks in the morning. Most people around here know us as the steel folks in the back. We do not do much advertising. People just find us by the address. Sometimes the narrow street gets blocked by trucks loading or unloading goods, but that is just part of being in this area. It feels like real work happens here. It is a bit gritty and very honest, just like the rest of the neighborhood.
