Simplex Infrastructures Ltd

We’re out here at Lane-17 in Purbachal, which is near the Rajarhat and Gopalpur area of Kolkata. Simplex Infrastructures Ltd is pretty close to the Dum Dum Airport, so we hear the planes overhead all day long. It’s a fast-growing part of the city, and we’ve been busy keeping up with all the new construction. We work on the big stuff, like the roads and the heavy foundations that everything else sits on. It’s a lot of mud and noise, especially when the big machines are running. Our office is right here in the neighborhood, and it’s usually a bit of a mess with boots and hard hats lying around. We don't try to keep it looking like a showroom because we’re actually working. The crew we have is a good group of people who know how to get things done without a lot of fuss. We have to deal with the Kolkata heat and the traffic just like everyone else. Sometimes the narrow lanes make it tricky to get our equipment in, but we always manage somehow. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we’re just building the infrastructure that the city needs to function. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve seen the whole area transform around us. It’s just what we do.
