Shiv Spare Parts

Our shop is tucked away near the Hathi Ghoda Mandir on Swarnarekha Link Road. Being so close to the bus stand in Sakchi means we see a lot of people coming and going all day. We keep a lot of different spare parts on the shelves, mostly for the types of vehicles you see driving around this part of town. It’s a bit crowded inside with all the boxes and metal bits, but we usually know exactly where everything is kept. If someone needs a specific bolt or a cable, they usually come to us because we’ve been in this spot for a while. The traffic on the link road can be a bit of a nightmare during the evening, but that’s just how Sakchi is. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know our way around an engine. Sometimes we have to order things in if it’s a rare part, but mostly we try to have it ready on the shelf. The temple nearby brings in a lot of folks, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything. We just keep the doors open and help whoever walks in with a broken part in their hand. It’s simple work but it’s what we know. We’ve seen the bus stand get bigger and the roads get busier, but our little corner stays the same.
