Progressive Electricals

Started at Zakirnagar. We handle wires and switches here on Old Purulia Road No.2. It’s right beside Mother Home Public School, so the street gets pretty busy in the afternoons when kids go home. Our shop is at House No. 425 in Ward No. 5. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the tools and parts we need. Mostly we just get on with whatever job comes in that morning. Mango is a crowded area, but everyone knows everyone. People stop by to ask about house wiring or fixing a fan. Sometimes we are out on a site and the shop is just my cousin sitting there. It’s a bit dusty because of the road work usually happening nearby. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. Usually, I’m drinking tea while looking at a circuit diagram or talking to a neighbor. We don’t have fancy stuff here. Just the regular electrical gear people need for their homes. If you walk past the school, you can’t miss us. It gets loud when the bell rings. We keep things simple. The desk is cluttered with receipts and small screws that I forget to put away. It’s a normal day-to-day business. We just try to get the work done right so we don't have to go back and fix it again later.
