Natwar Lal Sukhlal & Bros

Our shop, Natwar Lal Sukhlal & Bros, is located at No 2, Bhimji Bhawan on Diagonal Road in Bistupur. It’s an old building, and our family has been running things here for quite a few generations now. You can see the history in the dark wood counters and the way the floor is worn down in the spots where people stand the most. We aren't interested in modernizing the place just for the sake of it. We like the way things are. It’s a bit dusty in the corners, and the filing system is mostly just piles of paper that only we really understand, but it works for us. Bistupur is a lively place, and we get a lot of regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask about the family. We don’t do much advertising; our name has been around long enough that people usually know where to find us. My brother and I handle most of the daily tasks ourselves. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of helpers who have become like family over the years. We take our time with each person who comes in. There’s no rush here. We just want to make sure the job is done and that we’re being fair with everyone. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it’s kept us going all this time. We’ll probably be here for many more years to come.
