M/S. Usha Martin Limited (Uasd), Jamshedpur

We are based in Jamshedpur, specifically in Birsa Nagar. The office is at Plot No. 284 in Zone No. 1, and the easiest way to find us is to look for the Indane Gas Godown because we are right behind it. Jamshedpur is a town built on industry, and being part of Usha Martin, we are right in the middle of that culture. This particular unit, UASD, handles specific aspects of the business, and the atmosphere in the office is very practical. It’s a bit away from the main city center, which is nice because it’s a little quieter, though you still get the industrial sounds from time to time. The building is simple and serves its purpose as a hub for our operations in Birsa Nagar. We have a lot of local workers who come in and out, and the day starts pretty early here. Inside, there’s nothing fancy—just the usual office furniture and some maps of the local zones on the walls. We deal with a lot of logistics and supply issues, so there is always a lot of chatter about trucks and delivery times. The weather in Jamshedpur can be quite extreme, so we spend a lot of time either avoiding the heat or the heavy rain. It’s a straightforward workplace where people know their jobs and just get on with it. We’ve been at this plot for a while, and it feels like a solid part of the Birsa Nagar community.
