This is the Finance and Accounts wing located at the Jojobera Cement Plant. We are out in Rahargora, on the edge of Jamshedpur. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the plant nearby. Our office is where the numbers get crunched. We spend our days looking at invoices, payroll, and spreadsheets. It’s a lot of paperwork, to be honest. The walls are lined with files going back years. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just plant staff bringing in receipts or delivery notes. It’s not a glamorous job but someone has to do it. The air smells like dust and industry, which you get used to after a week. We have a small tea break in the afternoon to stay focused. Sometimes the power flickers but the generators kick in. We try to keep things moving so the guys at the plant get paid on time. It’s a functional space with old desks and clunky computers. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just want to make sure the books are balanced at the end of the month. The commute out to Rahargora is okay unless there's a train blocking the crossing. We’ve been here since the plant started getting big. It's just a regular office day for us, nothing more than that.
