Our place is in Cable Basti, right near the Golmuri post office in Jamshedpur. If you know Jamshedpur, you know this part of town is very industrial. Gtz India has been operating out of this location for quite a while. It’s a practical setup. We don't have a glass front or a lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you out. The area can get pretty busy with trucks and people moving about, especially during shift changes at the bigger plants nearby. We mostly deal with industrial supplies and things that keep other businesses running. It’s gritty work sometimes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking stock in the back. The heat in Jamshedpur during the summer is no joke, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our corner stays mostly the same. We have a few desks, some old computers, and a lot of knowledge about the stuff we sell. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a customer needs a specific part or some advice on a project, we just tell them what we know. It’s a straightforward way to live. We’ve built up a lot of trust with the local workshops over the years just by being consistent and showing up every day.
