Ananya Variety Store

People usually come by after visiting Hanuman Mandir here in Azad Nagar. It gets quite busy on Tuesdays and Saturdays especially. I have been around Mango for a long time and decided to keep this small place going with things people need every day. The shelves are mostly full of plastic buckets, some toys, and basic kitchen stuff. It is not a very big shop, but we try to keep what the neighbors ask for. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a lot of time just cleaning the glass counters. My nephew helps out when he is not at school. We open early because people like to get their things before the sun gets too hot. It is quite loud outside with the traffic moving towards the main city. In the evenings, the local kids hang around near the temple and sometimes they come in for small things like pencils or sweets. We don't have everything in the world, but if you ask, I might try to get it from the market next time I go. Running a variety store means you never know what someone will ask for. One day it's a specific type of thread, and the next day it is a certain kind of soap. We just sit here and wait for the regulars to stop by for a chat. It’s a simple life here in East Singhbhum and it keeps us occupied.
