Aero Onic Orchard

Aero Onic Orchard is located right near the railway station. It is a bit of an unusual place to have an orchard, being so close to the train tracks, but it has worked out well for us. You can hear the trains passing by all day and night, which is something you just get used to after being here for a few days. We spend the majority of our time out among the trees or checking on the water pipes. It is a lot of manual work, like pruning the branches and harvesting the fruit when the season is right. The fact that we are near the station is actually very handy when we need to ship our produce out or when people want to come by and see the place. We don’t have a very big staff, just a few of us who really know the land and the trees. Our office is just a small wooden shed where we keep our tools and the books. It isn't fancy at all, but it keeps us dry when it rains. We grow everything the way we were taught, without using too many modern gadgets, though we use whatever helps the work. The soil here is quite good, and we have worked hard to keep it healthy. Most days are quiet, except for the birds and the train whistles. We like the way the seasons change. There is always something to be doing here. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
