Viaana Buildcon Llp is located right opposite the Khodiyar Temple, just behind Samudra Sales. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know the temple. Working near a temple is nice because there’s a certain rhythm to the day with the bells and the people coming and going. Our office is where we handle all the behind-the-scenes stuff for our construction work. We are a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One minute you’re looking at a budget and the next you’re talking to a laborer about some bricks. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure everything is where it needs to be. We don’t have any fancy posters on the walls about our vision or anything. We just have maps and calendars. The space is a bit cluttered with samples and files, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and discussing the weather, especially when it might affect the work at the sites. We don't try to sound like a big corporation because we aren't one. We’re just local people building things in our community. Every day brings a new set of small problems to solve, and we just tackle them one by one. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes.
