Vir Sons is based in one of those raw-type sheds, number 348/5 to be exact, over in the GIDC area of Udyognagar. It’s a very industrial setting. There are no gardens or paved walkways, just a lot of concrete and metal buildings. The shed is where everything happens for us. We have some heavy machinery that makes a fair bit of noise when it’s running during the shift. We’ve been in Udyognagar for a long time now. You get used to the smell of grease and the sound of the neighbors working on their own projects. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't have a formal office with a secretary sitting at a desk. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll find one of us with a wrench in hand or looking at a blueprint spread out on a greasy table. That’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s hard work and long hours most days of the week. The roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, but we just move the stuff out of the way and keep going. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We take our breaks sitting on crates outside when the weather is nice enough. Most of our tools have been with us for years. They are worn down but they still work perfectly fine. We don't see the need for new gear.
