We have been here at Shankar Tekri for a long time now. The GIDC area stays busy, especially early in the mornings when everyone is getting to their workshops and the tea stalls start opening up. Our place is B-39. Jamnagar is known for this kind of brass and metal work, and we just fit right in with the rest of the units around here. It gets quite hot in the summer months inside the shed, but we are used to it by now. We handle various industrial jobs every day. Some days are slower than others. Usually, we are busy with orders that come in from local traders who need specific parts made. The machinery we use is old but it works fine for what we need to do. People often stop by to ask about parts or just to see if we can help with a small metal project they have. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the workspace and some storage for raw materials. My uncle started this and then I took over after he retired. It is a simple life. We keep the machines running and make sure the floors aren't too cluttered so we don't trip over things. Lunch is usually a quick break with some home-cooked food and then tea from the stall around the corner. If you are looking for our shed, it is right there in the first GIDC phase. Most people in the area know where Shankar Tekri Udyognagar is. We stay open until late evening.
